Candidates in Minn. Races to Reveal Fundraising
The flow of money into legislative races will become clearer this week when candidates and political parties reveal their fundraising.
The deadline for those reports - the first to show money raised and spent this year through July 23 - is Monday. Campaign regulators typically post the reports online the next day.
All 201 legislative seats are up for election in November, with primaries in 40 districts.
Republicans are running to hold onto majorities that have them up by four seats in the Senate and six in the House, while Democrats hope to shift the balance of power during the second half of Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton's first term.
Political action committees and independent funds will also give an update on fundraising in the third of five reports this year.
