Man Dead, Girl in Critical Condition After Goodhue County Crash

A 36-year-old man is dead, and a girl is in critical condition after a crash in Goodhue County.

The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. Thursday on Highway 60 between Wanamingo and Kenyon.

According to the State Patrol, a SUV was headed eastbound on Highway 60 when it veered into the westbound lane and collided with a semi-truck head on.

Michael Buck of Faribault died in the crash.

An 11-year-old girl who was a passenger in Buck's vehicle is in critical condition, and an 8-year-old boy who was also in the SUV suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, 78-year-old Francis Pavek of Northfield, was not injured.

Highway 60 was closed for almost five hours following the crash.
