EmailRoad Closures Around the Metro this Weekend
Road construction season is in full swing and several major road ways will be shut down this weekend.
I-494 in Edina, Bloomington, Richfield
Both directions of I-494 between Hwy 100 and I-35W will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for removal of the Xerxes Avenue Bridge.
Detour: Use Hwy 100, Hwy 62 and I-35W.
Eastbound I-694 in Arden Hills
Eastbound I-694 between I-35W and Lexington Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday so crews can switch traffic to the newly completed westbound lanes as part of the interchange reconstruction project.
Detour: Southbound I-35W to eastbound Hwy 36 to northbound I-35E to eastbound I-694.
