EmailDemocrats Seek Feedback on Party Platform in Minn.
The Democratic Party is seeking public feedback on the party's 2012 platform in Minneapolis this weekend.
The party's platform drafting committee is taking testimony on the document that outlines President Obama's economic priorities and other Democratic positions. Comments can also be submitted online at democrats.org/platform.
The panel headed by former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland hosts a national hearing on Friday, a listening session on Saturday and committee meetings on Saturday and Sunday.
The Minneapolis meetings are a prelude to a Detroit meeting next month when the party's full platform committee will discuss amendments before presenting the platform to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. in September.
