Hennepin County Sheriff Testifies at Hearing on Gang Activity
Congress is talking about guns this week. The issue came up yesterday at a House subcommittee hearing focused on gang activity.
Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek testified at the hearing. He told lawmakers law enforcement has adopted new kinds of guns to keep up with gang’s fire power. He also talked about the rise of Somali gangs and how their differences from traditional gangs make them difficult to fight.
Stanek was representing the National Sheriff’s Association.
