EmailGas Leak Shuts Down Part of Maple Plain
A contractor hit a gas line in Maple Plain Wednesday morning, forcing the evacuation of part of the city's downtown.
A spokesperson for the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office tells KSTP.COM the incident happened about 11 a.m..
It happened on Highway 12 (Wayzata Boulevard).
The spokesperson said a few buildings were evacuated.
The leak has since been capped, and people were allowed to return to the evacuated area.
