"Prolific Burglar" Headed to Prison

A man suspected of home burglaries in several Twin Cities communities is now in prison in St. Cloud, sentenced to more than nine years.

43-year-old Stewart Pesheck was caught while breaking into an Eden Prairie home in February.  He was under law enforcement surveillance at the time, suspected of burglaries in Carver, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Edina, Greenwood and Minnetonka.

According to Eden Prairie Police, Pesheck is also suspected of committing burglaries in Bloomington and Lakeville.

This month, a judge sentenced Pesheck to 114 months in prison.  The prosecutor in the case had asked for a longer sentence due to Pesheck's criminal history.

KSTP.COM checked Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension records.  Including the most recent cases, Pesheck's record includes seven burglaries, theft, assault, domestic assault, and violating an order for protection.

According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Pesheck's anticipated release date is November 6, 2017.  His sentence expires January 5, 2021.
