On the Road: Hope from Minnesota
Minnesota seems blessed with so many organizations that work hard to help less fortunate people around the world.
To celebrate this spirit of giving Jason Davis travels to east Africa to visit a brand new maternity and pediatric hospital built with the help of the University of St Thomas in St Paul and completely fitted out with equipment and supplies by "Hope for the City" a non profit founded by Megan Doyle of Minneapolis.
Also, Jason reports from the equator where he found a school of a thousand students that owes it very existence to a Minnesota woman who runs a charity called "Sylvia's Children".
In Panama we watch as poor, deaf kids from the slums and villages get the "Gift of Hearing" from a Minnesota based foundation lead by a remarkable millionaire named Bill Austin, and in Mexico it's all smiles when sponsors from Minnesota get to meet for the first time kids they have been supporting for years.
Around the world people are in need but there's always "Hope from Minnesota".
