Burying a loved one may not only be emotional – but also expensive.
Funeral homes and cemeteries sometimes charge unfairly high prices when grieving customers are rushing to make arrangements.
Some ways to avoid overpaying include getting price lists, comparing prices, and signing a contract, according to the Federal Trade Commission.
The FTC says to know your rights and do your research when making plans so you and your family aren’t pressured into pricey packages.
