Paddleboard Race Benefits Nonprofit Serving Homeless Youth
Dozens of people on Lake Calhoun hit the water to help out thousands of young Minnesotans.
A stand-up paddleboard race Saturday raised money for Avenues for Homeless Youth, a non-profit that gives shelter and support to homeless youth.
While it was fun, the real mission was to help stabilize and support kids.
According to Wilder Research, more than 10,000 Minnesota children are homeless in any year.
