EmailDNR: Zebra Mussels Could be in Western Minn. Lake
Zebra mussels may have made their way into another western Minnesota lake.
The DNR says some people found an adult zebra mussel in Lake Minnewaska south of Alexandria. The homeowners found it attached to the metal portion of a boat seat mount.
The DNR dive teams recently searched the shoreline and didn’t find any additional zebra mussels. They say they will continue to search the rest of the lake.
