Ramsey County Trains Citizens, Businesses on Emergency Response

Beginning this fall, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and emergency professionals will be training residents, community organization leaders, and business professionals on disaster preparedness.

The training is part of the Community Emergency Response Team Program, which aims to train citizens to help their neighborhoods if emergency services cannot immediately be accessed.

The program lasts for nine weeks and includes disaster preparedness, fire safety, search and rescue, medical operations, and other topics.

Classes take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Sept. 12. Locations alternate between Arden Hills and Vadnais Heights.
