Police: Man Kills Self Inside Chisago Co. Hospital Room

A man is dead after authorities say he committed suicide inside a Chisago County hospital room Wednesday morning.
Wyoming police say staff at Fairview Lakes Medical Center found a 68-year-old Rush City man dead in his single-occupancy room after hearing the sound of a gunshot around 11:30 a.m.
No other patients or staff were in the man's room at the time of the shooting, but people were in nearby rooms and in the hallway.
Police locked down the entrances to the hospital to restrict access to and from the building, but said there was no threat to other patients or staff.
Authorities say the man checked himself into the hospital Tuesday night for routine medical procedures. He had no history of mental health issues.
Fairview Lakes Medical Center bans guns inside the hospital, though there are no metal detectors. It's unclear how the man brought the gun inside the building.
