EmailHastings City Council Approves 'Deaf Child' Warning Signs
The City of Hastings will allow warning signs outside the home of a Hastings mom with a deaf child.
Heidi Pahl asked the city for the signs in front of her home, but Public Works asked the city to deny the request. They say drivers ignore the signs and it gives parents a false sense of security.
The City Council sided with Pahl and approved her request Monday night.
Many other cities in the metro area do not put up similar warning signs for those same reasons.
