St. Cloud Police Respond to 3 Armed Robberies

St. Cloud Police have issued a safety alert after a string of armed robberies at convenience stores.

Police believe multiple people have been involved in the robberies. In each robbery, the suspect had a handgun and asked for money bags.

The first robbery happened at 2:50 p.m. Friday, July 13. The suspect was 30-40 years old, about 6-feet tall, muscular, and wearing dark clothes with a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and baseball hat.

The second robbery happened at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, July 14. The suspect was in his late 20s, about 6-feet 3-inches tall, had a medium build, and was wearing all dark clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt, baseball hat, and sunglasses.

The third robbery happened at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, July 15. The suspect was 25-35 years old, more than 6-feet tall, had a slim build, and was wearing dark clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt, a baseball hat, and sunglasses.

Here are tips from the St. Cloud Police on what to do in the event of a robbery:
-    Call 911 in addition to hitting a panic alarm button
-    Cooperate with suspects so you don’t place yourself in danger
-    Pay attention to distinguished features like scars, marks, and tattoos
-    If safe, find out which way the suspect leaves and his or her mode of transportation
-    Lock the doors and secure the building so the suspect can’t reenter

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200.
