Hastings Mother in Sign Battle With City
A Hastings mother with a developmentally disabled child is in a battle with the city over a sign.
Heidi Pahl's daughter has a rare genetic disease and recently lost her hearing. Pahl asked to have two "deaf child" warning signs in front of her home, but public works is asking the city to deny the request.
The director of public works says drivers ignore the signs.
The Hastings City Council will consider the request next Monday.
