Study: People Spend Less Time at National Parks Compared to 20 Years Ago
More people are visiting national parks and monuments now than 20 years ago, but they are spending 15 percent less time there.
USA Today reports national park officials think it’s because there’s a decrease in overnight stays.
But for Minnesota’s only national park – Voyageurs in northern Minnesota – we found that people have been spending three times more time there when comparing 1991 to 2011.
