Police: Burglars Entered Mounds View Apartments as Residents Slept

Mounds View police are reminding residents to keep their homes secured after burglars entered four ground-level apartments as occupants slept.
Police say the four incidents happened July 7-10 in the following locations: the 7500 block of Greenfield Avenue; the 2500 block of County Road I; the 2600 block of Scotland Court; and the 5400 block of Landmark Circle.
All of the incidents occurred after midnight as residents slept, and involved either forced or unforced entry through windows in the apartment unit.
In one case, police say, the intruders confronted residents and demanded cash.
Cell phones, laptops, televisions and purses containing credit cards have all been reported stolen in the burglaries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mounds View police at 763-717-4070.
Police are reminding residents to keep doors and windows locked at all times. Curtains or blinds should be closed at night or when homeowners are away, and valuables should be kept out of sight.
