Western Wisconsin Music Festival Canceled
The lineup included Jane's Addiction, Florence & the Machine, Weezer and more. But, even with those big-name acts, a festival scheduled for later this month in Somerset, Wisconsin just couldn't sell enough tickets.
The SoundTown Music & Camping Festival was scheduled for July 27-28 at the Somerset Amphitheater Music & Event Center. On Wednesday, the Amphitheater announced it had been canceled by the festival's promoters.
"We would have loved to have SoundTown return to Somerset Amphitheater this year, but unfortunately the ticket threshold wasn't met for a festival of that magnitude," said Mat Mithun, General Manager of the amphitheater.
50 acts had been scheduled to perform. Among them, some from the Twin Cities and Wisconsin.
"If you purchased tickets, you will receive a full refund for concert tickets, camping and service fees," said a spokesperson for the festival on its Facebook page. It said refund information would be available soon on the SoundTown website.
