Mall of America Warns Public About Phone Scam

Mall of America is warning the public about a phone scam.

According to the Mall of America, there have been reports of callers falsely identifying themselves as representatives of the mall.

In these calls, the caller may offer to renew a magazine subscription, or offer another service.

In some cases, the caller ID has appeared to originate from the mall, and the caller has known the last four digits of the victim's credit cards.

The Mall of America says these calls are not originating from the mall, and it has a strict policy against initiating unsolicited calls.

Vice President of Operations Rich Hoge said in a press-release, “It is important for anyone who may receive a call like this to understand that the Mall will never ask for your personal information in this manner. If you do receive one of these calls never share any personal information with the caller. Please also be sure to report the incident to your credit card issuer as well as Mall of America.”

If you believe you have been scammed by someone claiming to represent Mall of America, you can report it to the mall by emailing prdept@mallofamerica.com.
