A new study shows Americans are growing more and more interested in themselves.
The online journal PLoS ONE analyzed phrases from thousands of American books published in the past 50 years. Turns out, more phrases have included “I” instead of “we.”
Some psychologists suggest that means society as a whole is becoming more self-absorbed.
