6 Months after Recall, Excedrin Still Out of Stock
A popular pain reliever has been out of stock for six months now.
Novartis voluntarily recalled Excedrin back in January when it learned some bottles may have been contaminated with stray tablets form other medications.
Now, some users say the generic version doesn’t work as well, and experts say it’s creating a sort of black market for the pain pills.
Doctors say that if the generic version has the same amount of aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine, it should have the same effect.
Novartis says it’s working hard to get production back up and running and expects to start up shipments again later this year.
