WEB EXTRA: There's Help for Computers Affected by DNS Changer Malware Scam

If your computer was impacted by the DNS Changer Malware Scam, members of Rasmussen College's Brooklyn Park IT Club can help you get back online.

In the scam, a piece of Malware was distributed through the Internet that changed a setting on computers to point traffic to the servers run by this group. The Malware was not caught by normal anti-virus and anti-malware programs. The FBI shut down the server Sunday, causing some users to lose their internet service.

The IT Club will be holding a special computer health clinic Wed., July 11 from 5-7 pm at the Brooklyn Park Campus.

EDITORS NOTE: The above interview took place last week. Users affected by the scam would have had Internet problems Monday, July 9.
