EmailSwimmer Suffers Heart Attack, Dies at Lake Independence
An older man died Saturday after suffering a heart attack while swimming in a west metro lake.
Paramedics were called to Lake Independence west of Medina around 1:30 p.m. on a report of the incident. The man was found face down in waist deep water; witnesses pulled the man from the lake.
The man had just turned 70, according to a witness at the scene.
