Power Crews Slowly Making Progress in Northern Minn.

Thirty crews are spending the Fourth of July holiday trying to restore power across northern Minnesota after storms hit the area earlier this week.

Lake Country Power says 8,000 homes are without power in rural areas near Grand Rapids.

Downed trees are blocking county roads and state highways, slowing the effort.

However, crews are making progress. Power has been restored to more than 2,800 homes.
