Minneapolis Native Royce White Goes 16th in NBA Draft

Royce White's dream of playing in the NBA has come true, as the Houston Rockets took him with the 16th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
The Minneapolis native and onetime Minnesota Gopher stands to make approximately $4.3 million over the course of his three-year rookie-scale NBA contract.
White, who transferred to Iowa State after leaving the University of Minnesota, is the highest Cyclones player drafted since Marcus Fizer in 2000, and is only the 6th Iowa State player ever taken in the draft's top 20 selections.
