EmailLake Crystal Woman Pleads Guilty in Murder of Husband
A Lake Crystal woman will be sentenced July 9 for the murder of her husband.
Jennifer Nibbe pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of her husband, James, who was found shot to death in the couple's home in August 2010.
According to a criminal complaint, Nibbe told authorities an intruder came into their home, shot her husband and assaulted her with a rope. She claimed she was hiding with her son in their basement when she made a 911 call to authorities.
Authorities say Nibbe, a nurse, was fraudulently obtaining prescription medication and exchanging sexual text messages with another man.
