Hastings Cleaning Up From Early Morning Storms
The City of Hastings received significant damage from the storms that blew through the Twin Cities early Tuesday morning.
City crews were out all day clearing roads, while homeowners pitched in to help each other.
Sixty seniors had to be evacuated from Rivertown Court after the roof was damaged, but no one was hurt.
Cub Foods handed out free bags of ice to residents who lost power and were left to cope in the sweltering heat.
Waste Management's yard waste site on 2800 Millard Ave will be open extended hours to accept any size tree trunks, branches, wood chips.
Debris can be dropped off:
-Tuesday 12-5 p.m.
-Wednesday 12-7
-Thursday and Friday 12-5
-Saturday 8-12
