St. Cloud State Becomes Tobacco-Free Aug. 1
In just a few months, St. Cloud State University will be a tobacco-free campus.
The university is set to become tobacco-free on Aug. 1, becoming the sixth four-year school in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system to implement the policy.
The policy comes after a year of campus-wide discussions and a transition period where tobacco could only be used in designated areas.
The only places people can use tobacco after Aug. 1 will be in traditional Native American ceremonies, scientific studies, theatrical productions, and private vehicles.
