Loud parties, barking dogs, uncut grass, and cars up on blocks in the front yard—there are few things worse for homeowners than a bad neighbor.
Now, a new Web site that gives you the ability to call those bad neighbors out.
(It should be noted before you begin this adventure that this is all subjective by poster and these entries aren’t moderated or edited. The posters are responsible for their own posts and people don’t always use the best manners or language when talking about bad neighbors).
Rottenneighbor.com is a mapping application that allows you to enter information about any address in the country on how bad of a neighbor that person may be. You can also check the map to see if someone has reported you!
There are quite a few homes already listed in the Twin Cities and it seems more are being added every day. Here are a few that I found interesting (The site does take a moment to load, so be patient):
Rockstar lives here near Lake Calhoun, MTV crews keep showing up
Loud party house on Lake Minnetonka
Construction going on for years in Minnetonka
Yelling at all hours of the night in Stillwater
Gang Graffiti in Lake Elmo
To find out if people are writing about you or your neighborhood, just type your address into the box in the upper-right-hand corner, click enter. Then, just click and red dots you see.
There are also a few unexpected results of this site. In some cases, people are reviewing business and saying what they don’t like about them. And a few times in the Twin Cities, people are using Rotten Neighbor for the opposite of the intended purpose—they are writing about how much they like their neighbors!
