Downtown Saint Paul's historic Rice Park transforms into an enchanting winter wonderland on Saturday, November 24. Rice Park powered by Xcel Energy will capture the spirit of the holiday season with a tree as tall and bright as the iconic Rockefeller Center tree in New York City. The gigantic tree in Rice Park will be lit with 30,000 energy-efficient LED lights, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The park will sparkle with millions of twinkling lights, classic Nutcracker and angel statues, and other holiday décor. Make downtown Saint Paul your family holiday destination!
Rice Park powered by Xcel Energy has partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota and their Season of Wishes campaign. Granting a child's wish at the holidays is what makes this season magical. And for a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition, no wish is too big or too small.

The Make A Wish Foundation® of Minnesota has been granting wishes to children in our state for more than 25 years. At this year's Tree Lighting Ceremony, Make A Wish Foundation® of Minnesota will be selling candles with a portion of proceeds going to grant the wish of a Minnesota child.
Season of Wishes™ combines the spirit of holiday giving with hope, strength and joy that is generated from a Make-A-Wish experience. The campaign also provides a tremendous forum for the public to experience the extraordinary emotional impact that comes from fulfilling a child's greatest wish.
