Jefferson Beats Burnsville to Advance to Softball State Tournament

In high school softball, Bloomington Jefferson defeated defending state champion Burnsville to advance to the state tournament. 

On Wednesday, Jefferson beat Burnsville 2-1 forcing a second game. That game was tied at 1 after seven innings and it was postponed because of darkness. 

On Thursday, they picked up the game in the 8th inning. Jefferson loaded the bases and Cassandra Santiago got the game-winning hit.
