The National Television Academy unveils its list of nominations for the 2006 News and Documentary Emmy Awards
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has been nominated for a National Emmy in the category of “Outstanding Regional News Story: Spot News” for the news coverage of the murder of St. Paul Police Sergeant Gerald Vick. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS News Director, Chris Berg says, “This is a such a great and rare honor to be nominated by the National Television Academy since only 8 affiliates in the country have been nominated for a National Emmy this year. It is wonderful to be recognized for our news department’s continuing hard work.”
The 27th Annual News and Documentary Awards will be presented for programming distributed during the calendar year 2005. The Emmy awards ceremony will be held on September 25, 2006 in New York City.
