Minnesotans have always led the way in honoring military veterans, and during our travels "On the Road," we have met many ordinary people who have gone out of their way to show their gratitude.
A compilation of some of the compelling stories produced by the "On the Road" staff about people who go way out of their way to help veterans.
We meet a group along the north shore of Lake Superior who take old soldiers fishing, a couple who provide free meals to veterans from their little restaurant and a St Paul man who gives up his time to press flags used in military funerals.
