WOOD: Seeing The Hulk Cry!
Every once in a while, I am lucky enough to fill in for Staci of Moon and Staci of KS95. Just being able to hang out for an afternoon with Moon and his producer Beaker is reason enough to put in the extra long days, but last Friday I received an extra treat. Hulk Hogan stopped by to chat with us for a while about his new book "Life Ouside The Ring".
I've interviewed quite a few celebrities who were touting an autobiography, but I can safely say none were as open as The Hulk. He began talking about his time here in Minnesota and how he lived here for four years. He honestly loved it. He says he will never forget all the dirty bars he used to frequent. Then he moved on to the topic of his marriage. He was married for 24 years and when he talked about his ex-wife he still looked like he loves her. That's also when he started crying. He wasn't just misty eyed, there were tears and all. The Hulk is a big guy and it was pretty touching to see such a huge man melt into a puddle while talking about love. He then moved on to what he'll be doing next and things got a bit lighter from there on out. I never watched his reality show or much of his wrestling, though I loved him as Thunderlips in Rocky III, but after meeting him I consider myself a fan. He was very sincere and very polite. Maybe Minnesota Nice rubbed off of him a bit when he lived here.
