Meet Ashley, Who has Drive to Help Others

Rusty Gatenby introduces Ashley, a 16-year-old who works to make life better for children with AIDS.

Rusty met Ashely at Valley Fair where she was ready to have some fun.

But Ashley has a drive to help other kids have fun too.

Ashley said, "I'm going to Florida to work in a camp called Camp Heartland to work with kids who have aids. It's a place where kids can come so they can have fun."

Ashley has been in foster care all of her life and she's hoping to be adopted.

Ashley said, "I just want to feel like I have a place to go, when I go to college. I want people to love me and have a family that is all mine instead of moving around all the time."

Ashley dreams of becoming a veterinarian's assistant.

If you would like to adopt Ashley or any of Minnesota's waiting children, please call 612-861-7115.
