These guys are on the run but not likely for long. They held up the US Bank on 34th Avenue, for a third time in four months, and got away with $4,000. But police pinched one of them. And I've got to believe, now that he's facing federal charges, suspect Curtis Williams will roll on his buddies pretty soon. Two guys who cut hair at the barber shop across the street from the bank saw one of these guys casing the place on Tuesday afternoon and then watched them all go into the bank rob it...and get away in a car in the back alley. Yes, three times it's been hit and I am told the Wells Fargo across the street has also had problems. So why these two banks? Well for one the alley ways provide cover for getaways but also the Crosstown is only a few blocks away. And oh yeah, the US Bank had no security guard in place. In this case these guys made one big mistake...and only if they were a little smoother and pretended they had done this at least three other times they might have gotten away with it. But police tell us while trying to ditch their first getaway car, a Mercury Sable, they were apparently a little frantic while jumping and driving away in car number two, a black Dodge Charger. Somebody saw them and realized someting wasn't right. So this good semaritan called cops...and they traced the Sable to the Williams house...and he was there! That's too easy. Now these three are free but for how much longer? |
