BARRON: Art and Rusty at Basilica Block Party

Thousands converged on the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis Friday for the three day event. What an enjoyable way to start the weekend right? Despite a little rain that day it didn't keep a sea of people from enjoying the likes of Black Crowes or Counting Crows. It was amazing.

My 18 year old daughter decided to go with me... she drove. We arrived walked around and headed over to the stage where Black Crowes was playing... and that's where we caught up with Rusty and his two youngest children. The beat of the Blue Grass was not impressing the kids. No, not when the night before Rusty took them to the Jonas Brothers. My daughter could take it or leave it, but she had a fabulous time.

We spent a few hours there, got a little wet by the light rain and met some people hanging out enjoying the venues.

It was a great event : )
